Where in Tulsa is diagnosed diabetes most prevalent among adults and how has it changed over time?

Summary

According to the Surgeon General report on the effects of social isolation, "social support from friends and family is associated with improved hypertension and diabetes management." Using 2019 data from the PLACES dataset published by the CDC, we found that in about 89% (155 of 175) of Census tracts in Tulsa County, less than 15% of the adult population had a diabetes diagnosis.
